Veteran staying chaser who has a very good record at this track and resumed winning ways in the Borders National here (32.4f) 6 weeks ago. Drop back in trip not ideal but does well in small fields.

Useful handicap chaser for Mick Channon. Nowhere near as good over hurdles but managed to land a novice here before good second at Sedgefield. Given chance by handicapper back in this sphere.
|
More miss than hit for present stable but he arrives in good nick, creditable fourth of 12 in handicap chase at Haydock (21.6f, heavy) 17 days ago. Return to this trip will suit. Could be the answer.
|
Notched second win over fences in 3m handicap at Ayr in March. Good placed efforts this season, behind Big River in the Borders National here, while latest Market Rasen run was probably a career best.

Forecasts
Big River (5/2), Mister Whitaker (5/2), Cash To Ash (11/4), Saint Xavier (10/3)
A case can be made for all 4 but SAINT XAVIER ran well over an inadequate trip at Haydock last time and could be the answer. Mister Whitaker has bled but he's been given a chance by the handicapper back chasing following a breathing operation.
- SAINT XAVIER (FR)
- MISTER WHITAKER (IRE)
- BIG RIVER (IRE)
