Flat winner for yard who has shown plenty from the front in maiden hurdles the last twice. Pitched into handicaps now and opening mark probably high enough.

Brother to Sprinter Sacre and easily won a Kempton bumper in early 2020. Hasn't lived up to expectations over hurdles though, downing tools at Uttoxeter when last seen in May. Had breathing op since.

Fit from the Flat and showed much improved form to get off the mark in 15-runner handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse (20f, good to soft) 74 days ago, responding well. Should go on improving.

French Flat winner who made second handicap start a successful one at Newton Abbot in May. Disappointing there next time but freshened up (off 7 months) since, so worth a market check.

Tongue tied and confirmed the promise of his hurdles debut when landing 4-runner maiden at Southwell (15.8f) in November. Open to further improvement now heading into handicaps, so highly respected.

Fair in bumpers and similar form all 3 starts over hurdles. May improve now handicapping but his opening mark requires it.

Fair maiden on Flat (stays 9.5f) and showed ability in 3 runs over hurdles in 2019/20. Found just a well-treated sort too good at Leicester on reappearance but went backwards at Fakenham last time.

Fairly useful on Flat, (stays 1¾m). Has yet to fire over hurdles, though caught the eye switched to a handicap at Huntingdon on final run for Charlie Longsdon in May and remains capable of better.

Just modest form over hurdles in Ireland for David Harry Kelly and failed to improve for the switch to handicaps on first outing for this yard here 15 days ago. Has work to do.

Verdict

GREATEST STAR opened his account in a weak race at Southwell last time, but he's been allotted a fair opening mark so looks capable of following up on handicap debut. Punctuation caught the eye finishing with running left on his first start in handicaps at Huntingdon in May and remains capable of better now setting out for Fergal O'Brien. Petrol Head and Flamenco de Kerser complete the shortlist.
