5/6

Fairly useful hurdler who got back on track in a first-time tongue strap after 9 weeks off when second in 7-runner handicap at Exeter (18.5f, heavy, 5/1) 4 days ago. Can go one better here.

So Socksy^t²⁰

Age: 8| Weight: 10-4| J: Ben Jones| T: Ben Clarke| OR: 92

8/1

Winning pointer who ran creditably in a first-time tongue strap when second of 4 on handicap debut here (23.9f) 20 days ago, but that's probably just as good as she is.

Form: P/13-672

Fashion's Model²⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 10-0| J: Sean Houlihan| T: Sheila Lewis| OR: 88

7/2

Won sole start in Irish points and shaped with some on the second of 3 starts over hurdles. May do better now handicapping from a low base.

Form: 15-549

Get An Oscar^b⁴⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 10-0| J: S Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR: 87

6/1

Perked up by change of headgear when runner-up at Worcester (23f) in August but disappointing since and others make more appeal.

Form: 92R308

Gaia Vallis³⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 10-0| J: Alfie Jordan⁽⁷⁾| T: D G Bridgwater| OR: 83

10/1

Gained first hurdling win in 4-runner seller at Leicester (15.5f) 38 days ago, getting up late. Effective over this longer trip and could go well back in handicap company.

Form: 424F21

Forecasts

Getaweapon (5/6), Fashion's Model (7/2), Get An Oscar (6/1), So Socksy (8/1), Gaia Vallis (10/1)

GETAWEAPON returned to something like her best when second at Exeter on New Year's Day and a reproduction of that form may well be good enough to see her come out on top here. Fashion's Model may improve now starting out in handicaps from a low base and is second choice.
