Sole hurdles success was gained off a 9 lb higher mark at Doncaster in February 2020. Respectable reappearance in that sphere last month, but well held back chasing at Huntingdon next time.

Gained breakthrough win over fences in 6-runner handicap at Bangor in May and overcame 5 lb rise when following up there under this rider later that month. That was a career best so must be respected.

Back to form with blinkers refitted in January, making all at Fontwell prior to finding just one too good at Exeter 5 days later. Misfired on return, however, and no better at Ffos Las since. Hooded.

Low-mileage maiden who posted improved form when second in handicap hurdle at Ayr in March but not in same form later that month and made an unpromising start to chasing career at Ffos Las on return.

Maiden hurdler who improved to make a winning start over fences at Chepstow, jumping well before comfortably asserting. Disappointed at Warwick next time but worth another chance with headgear added.

Hurdles winner at Carlisle in 2019 and some good placed efforts last season, notably when second of 13 in a Wincanton handicap (25f, soft). However, pulled up last 2 starts, including on return.

Hard to get excited by this season's efforts over fences and well held on belated return to hurdles latest. Headgear now reached for.

Modest maiden hurdler and ran to a similar level on chase debut when second at Hereford, going in snatches. Showed a bit more when runner-up at Market Rasen since.

Ludlow winner in November and backed it up with good third of 12 in handicap chase there. Flattered from 41 lb out of the weights next time but remains of interest back off his proper mark.

Offered little in trio of starts over hurdles in Ireland in the spring. Placed in points since, though, and showed a bit more than being pulled up would suggest on chase debut (found to have bled).

Just the one win from 15 starts in this sphere but arrives here on the back of a string of decent efforts and came close to ending losing run returned to this trip at Fontwell 9 days ago.

Felton Bellevue (9/2), Family Pot (9/2), Ivilnoble (11/2), Jurys Out (7/1), Kestrel Valley (8/1), Hatchet Jack (8/1), Legend Of Zorro (10/1), Shah An Shah (12/1), Black Centaur (16/1), Hill Of Hope (16/1), Loch Garman Aris (18/1), Ballybreen (20/1), Jerminnie Green (25/1), Gold Clermont (28/1), Findusatgorcombe (28/1), Mount Oliver (40/1)

Verdict

FAMILY POT was flattered by his proximity in a falsely-run race from 41 lb out of the weights at Ludlow 2 weeks ago but his previous 2 efforts over fences put him right in the mix here racing off his proper mark. Jerminnie Green is worth another chance to confirm the form of her chase-debut win and is next best ahead of Ivilnoble, who went close back over this trip at Fontwell.
