Ocovango gelding who failed to beat a rival on a couple of outings in bumpers recently. Makes little appeal on hurdles bow.

Just modest form at best in 4 bumpers, but showed plenty to work on switched to hurdling after 11 months off when runner-up at Carlisle 3 weeks ago, left with too much to do. Should improve.

Showed promise on first start in bumper but failed to build on that when well held 6 months later. Tongue tied but no encouragement on hurdles bow 5 weeks ago so easy to look elsewhere.

Half-brother to yard's useful hurdler/chaser Elvis Mail. Made a solid start to his career when second at Musselburgh but failed to kick on from that a month later. Makes hurdles bow.

Promise in bumpers but failed to complete on hurdling debut at Newcastle 15 days ago, unseating rider fifth.

Showed a bit in Perth bumper and stepped forward from his hurdling debut when runner-up over this C&D just under 5 weeks ago. Repeat of that puts him firmly in the picture.

Showed a fair bit to work on when fourth of 10 a Kelso bumper and similar story sent hurdling at Perth back in September, a late error halting a promising forward move. Can build on that here.

On the up when runner-up at Down Royal on penultimate start in October 2020 but disappointed 9 weeks later when only fifth at Cork (reportedly bled). Off since, and has left Noel Meade.

Irish point winner. Had wind op prior to hurdling debut and has offered something to work on on both outings, runner-up at Kelso 4 weeks ago. The third that day has won since so he's much respected.

Minimal promise in a pair of C&D bumpers so tough to fancy on this switch to hurdling.

Well held in 2 bumpers at the start of the summer and tailed off on hurdles bow over C&D 6 weeks ago. Faces another struggle.

Forecasts

Rowdy Rustler (7/4), Fabuleux Du Clos (11/4), Pat's Pick (7/2), Livelifetothemax (6/1), Kingfisher Lane (14/1), Netywell (16/1), Ginger Mail (18/1), Chinese Spirit (66/1), Fathers Advice (100/1), Ever Ready Eddie (300/1), Nordic Express (300/1), Miss Valentine (300/1)

Verdict

A few in with chances but ROWDY RUSTLER has shown promise on both outings over hurdles so far, allowed the run of things when runner-up at Kelso 4 weeks ago. The third that day has won since, so Lucinda Russell's charge gets the nod to make it third time lucky. Fabuleux du Clos was left with too much to do on his hurdles bow so he's feared most with improvement likely, ahead of Livelifetothemax.
