Hurdling debutants MERITORIOUS and Individualiste are appealing alternatives to likely favourite Collingham. Paul Nicholls has already unleashed several promising young hurdlers this season and his representative Individualiste is of obvious interest. However, there's more quantifiable substance to Meritorious' Flat form and he gets the nod for an Irish yard whose raiders always command respect.
