Dotted up over 2½m here in October and followed that with a solid effort in defeat at Aintree. However, poor efforts the last twice and hopes pinned on first-time blinkers working the oracle.

Bumper winner who made a positive start over hurdles when second in 2m maiden here in May. No improvement on last month's handicap debut over 20.7f, though, and now upped in trip/tried in cheekpieces.

Showed benefit of breathing operation when posting a career-best second of 11 at Fontwell (21.7f) last time. 4 lb rise tolerable and claims here if this step up in trip proves to be in his favour.

Made a winning debut in 4-runner novice over 2m here in November. Never really in the hunt at Fontwell next time, but she's unexposed and warrants respect now upped in trip for this handicap bow.

Winning stayer on Flat and runner-up for second time over hurdles at Huntingdon (15.8f) in May. However, below par on return at Southwell and more needed now upped in trip with blinkers enlisted.

Maiden pointer and no real promise so far over hurdles. Moving up in trip for this handicap debut probably won't hurt, but a big step forward is needed in the first-time cheekpieces.

Forecasts

Terresita (9/4), Dynamite Kentucky (11/4), Henschke (11/4), The Knot Is Tied (9/1), Table Mountain (11/1), Tom Creen (12/1)

Verdict

Though he needs to brush up on his jumping, HENSCHKE clearly possesses an engine and both his pedigree and the way he kept on at Fontwell last month offer hope that this step up in trip will turn out to be a good thing. Terresita is much the least exposed of these and is clear second choice. Dynamite Kentucky may prove best of the remaining four, all of whom will be sporting new headgear.

  1. HENSCHKE (IRE)
  2. TERRESITA (IRE)
  3. DYNAMITE KENTUCKY (FR)
