Third in an Irish bumper and showed a likeable attitude to make his second hurdle start a winning one at Ayr (19.5f) last month. Sure to stay this far and open to further improvement.

Made the frame on the second of 2 starts in Irish points but is most likely one for handicaps a bit further down the line in this sphere.

Shaped like a stayer in a pair of bumpers and on Carlisle hurdles debut but found the test too much upped to 3m at Haydock last time. Back down in trip slightly and remains capable of better.

Fair form in two bumpers and showed a bit more than first time up over hurdles when 18½ lengths fourth of 12 to Famous Bridge at Ayr (19.5f).

Lightly-raced maiden who posted respectable third of 11 on handicap debut at Aintree (24.7f, heavy) 25 days ago. Can make presence felt.

Placed on sole outing in points and shaped like a stayer in a Sedgefield bumper on Rules debut earlier in the month, so this much longer trip will suit now hurdling.

Forecasts

Famous Bridge (4/5), Return Fire (11/4), Cosmic Outlaw (11/2), Ned Tanner (7/1), Release The Kraken (14/1), The Questioner (50/1), Azof Des Mottes (80/1), Fortcanyon (100/1), Master Alan (125/1), Whatsgoingon (150/1), Clear Ability (150/1), Ryedale Cowboy (150/1)

Verdict

FAMOUS BRIDGE showed a likeable attitude to get the better of one who knew his job at Ayr last month and, with further improvement likely over this longer trip, he's taken to defy a penalty. Ned Tanner shaped better than the bare result at Haydock last time and remains capable of better back down in distance slightly, with Cosmic Outlaw and Return Fire others in the mix.

  1. FAMOUS BRIDGE (IRE)
  2. NED TANNER (IRE)
  3. COSMIC OUTLAW (IRE)
