Age: 9|  Weight: 12-1| J: Daire James McConville(10)| T: Kerry Lee| OR:  126
Multiple hurdles winner and perfect start over fences on return at Worcester (16.5f). Runner-up next couple of starts and didn't run so poorly as the distance beaten suggests at Hereford recently.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  123| D
Well-made ex-pointer who showed ability over hurdles and made a successful debut over fences in a thin handicap back on reappearance in October. Off since, but could have more to offer up 4 lb.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-7| J: T J O'Brien| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR:  118| C
Fairly useful chaser at best but struggling for form at present so best to look elsewhere despite tumbling mark.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: Miss E C Lavelle| OR:  118| D
Confirmed debut promise to win maiden hurdle at Navan in March and proved a different proposition (tongue tied) to chasing debut when scoring at Southwell 16 days ago. Should have more to offer.

Jimmy The Digger47
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-7| J: R Patrick| T: H D Daly| OR:  118| D
Made light of 11-month absence to open his account in 2½m handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter in June and followed up on chase bow a month later. Back on track when third last time but more needed.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson| OR:  117
AW bumper winner in February placed twice from 5 starts over hurdles. Positive start in this sphere when runner-up at Ludlow but little to shout about on both starts since, unseating rider last month.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-6| J: J M Quinlan| T: L Wadham| OR:  117| CD
Ex-pointer who has responded well to fitting of blinkers, doubling chase tally at Leicester in March. Looked better than ever when runner-up on return so a must for the shortlist with a visor fitted.

3-time winner over fences for Gabriel Leenders in France, scoring twice last month (latest at Fontainebleau). Claimed for €20,352 after and he could have a major role to play on yard/UK debut.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-2| J: Alan Johns| T: S Allwood| OR:  113
Proved consistent over fences last season and gained a deserved success in Stratford handicap (19.5f) in April. Below par both starts this term, however. Headgear on.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-1| J: Katie O'Farrell(5)| T: O Murphy| OR:  112
Clear-cut winner of back-to-back 24.3f handicap chases at Southwell in March under front-running rides. Bit to prove after 2 lacklustre performances this season now though (refused on return.

Age: 10|  Weight: 10-8| J: Lee Edwards| T: A W Carroll| OR:  105| CD
Unreliable sort but back on track off reduced mark to win 3m2f handicap chase at Plumpton in May. Little impact on both recent starts over hurdles so others appeal more, even with headgear back on.

Forecasts

Ahead Of The Field (7/2), Kilbrook (4/1), Red Happy (5/1), Jimmy The Digger (7/1), Somekindofstar (8/1), Magic Dancer (10/1), Docte Dina (10/1), Rob The Getaway (14/1), Prairie Town (16/1), Master Work (16/1), First Class Return (25/1)

Verdict

A host in with chances but RED HAPPY is put forward as the answer on first start for David Pipe. He scored twice last month (handicap at Meslay-du-Maine and claimer at Fontainebleau) and the sole 4-y-o in this line up can make the perfect start on these shores. Somekindofstar looked better than ever when second on return 3 weeks ago so he's feared most, with Ahead of The Field next on the list.
