Sky Bet UK's No.1 Betting App Mares' Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Off time: 15:02 | Winning time: 3m 59.30s

Auditoria²²

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: Fergus Gregory| T: O Murphy| OR: 107

11/4

Fair maiden on the level and in this sphere, and arrives on the back of a creditable second in a Musselburgh handicap 22 days ago. Should give another good account.

Form: 22-2U2

Fist Pumping Time^t²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Henry Brooke| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero

18/1

From a very good NH family and, having shown a bit in bumpers, finished a modest third under a positive ride in a novice at Hexham on first hurdling outing. Might need longer trips to show more.

Form: 5B4-043

Martha Willow⁴⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: Craig Nichol| T: Jedd O'Keeffe| D

5/1

Well-bred filly who scored twice in bumpers before struggling with the step up in grade at Cheltenham 45 days ago. Both her pedigree and physique suggest she'll take to obstacles, so definite player.

Form: 31-10

Ramble West³⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr| BF| D

4/5

Ex-pointer who looked a nice prospect when a wide-margin winner of a Musselburgh bumper in November. Runner-up on Ayr hurdle debut 36 days later and looks an interesting recruit to this sphere.

Form: 22F-12

Ripplet³⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Ryan Mania| T: A M Thomson

40/1

Won a small-field Exeter bumper in autumn 2018 but made little impact on the Flat for Hughie Morrison in 2019 and was too free in a novice hurdle on belated return, so plenty to prove.

Form: 16/6

Sweet Spirit³⁶⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-12| J: Stan Sheppard| T: T Lacey

12/1

Placed in bumpers (first a point event), but returned from huge absence (19 months, left Katy Price) with a tame hurdling debut at Wetherby for Jonjo O'Neill a year ago and hasn't been seen since.

Form: 23/P-

West Lawn²¹²

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: J Walton

50/1

Has a stout pedigree and looked short of pace in a 16f bumper at Kelso 7 months ago, so hard to imagine he'll make an impact over a similar trip switched to hurdling.

Form: 6

Willa³⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: Callum Bewley| T: M E Sowersby

125/1

Fair maiden on Flat (stays 11.5f). Big price and down the field in a novice at Sedgefield on first go at hurdling, so she's up against it once more.

Forecasts

Ramble West (4/5), Auditoria (11/4), Martha Willow (5/1), Sweet Spirit (12/1), Fist Pumping Time (18/1), Ripplet (40/1), West Lawn (50/1), Willa (125/1)

RAMBLE WEST backed up a successful Rules debut in a bumper at Musselburgh with a promising second in a novice at Ayr 36 days ago and, with the softer ground likely to place more emphasis on stamina, she should find enough improvement to see off Auditoria, who is more exposed. Dual bumper winner Martha Willow is a notable recruit to this sphere, and deserves respect
