Horse A-Z
Flat-bred gelding who confirmed debut promise when opening his account at Doncaster 3 weeks ago, going away at the finish. Promising conditional negates the penalty, so he makes plenty of appeal.

Eagle Top gelding. Half-brother to 11f-17f winner Another Lincolnday (by Desideratum): dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/winner sole start over fences (stayed 25f) My Arch. Considered.

£24,000 3-y-o, Spanish Moon gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including very smart hurdler/top-class chaser Cilaos Emery and fairly useful hurdler/chaser Amalfi Doug, stays 3¼m. Obvious player.

Has a speedy Flat pedigree and, while he appeared to see out 13f when fourth to Le Fils de Force at Doncaster first time out, it's hard to envisage him reversing form with that rival.

Charming Thought gelding. Half-brother to 2 winners on Flat, including 5f/6f winner Waking Warrior. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler (stayed 3m) April Allegro. Worth a market check.

Has a moderate pedigree and finished down the field having pulled hard at Aintree first time out. Others make more appeal.

Snow Sky gelding. Dam, little impact in points, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 2½m) Imjoeking and fairly useful hurdler (stayed 2½m) Go Odee Go.

Strong in the betting and showed plenty to work on when second at Market Rasen a couple of months ago. That form is proving very strong, so he's well worth a chance to go one better.

Blue Bresil filly. Dam (c89/h103) 2m-3¼m hurdle/chase winner. Pedigree suggests he will need more time and distance.

Didn't offer much on debut at Market Rasen and, while there was a bit more encouragement in her Wetherby forth a couple of weeks ago, there's still a chunk of improvement to find if he's to feature.

Half-sister to 4 winners on the Flat but her debut at Wetherby lacked promise, so hard to imagine she'll make any sort of impact.

Forecasts

Trolley Boy (6/5), Le Fils De Force (3/1), Iceman Dennis (5/1), Belleloise (9/1), Mr Mccall (16/1), Snow Joeking (18/1), Bolton (22/1), Nortonthorpebanker (22/1), Profiles Mix (50/1), Mayway (100/1), Redesdale Angel (150/1)

Verdict

TROLLEY BOY put up a big effort when second at Market Rasen on debut and the first, third and fifth from that race have all gone in since, so he's likely to become the latest subsequent winner from that strong event. Le Fils de Force looks a threat despite his penalty (Tom Midgley takes 7 lb off) and debutant Iceman Dennis makes plenty of appeal on paper, acknowledging he may lack for pace.

  1. TROLLEY BOY
  2. LE FILS DE FORCE
  3. ICEMAN DENNIS (FR)
