Bumper winner in Ireland for Tom Taaffe who made a successful start over hurdles for new yard when seeing off 6 rivals over 2m at Huntingdon in October. Bare form nothing special but more to come.
Fairly useful 3-y-o on the Flat for John Gosden and has made a promising start over hurdles since returning from a long absence, placed twice before winning at Ludlow. Looks sure to go well again.
Useful in bumpers, winning at Stratford and better form in defeat at Cheltenham twice since (third in listed latterly). Should make mark over hurdles for yard which has won last 2 runnings of this.
Fair Flat winner but only modest form in 2 hurdle runs last month and likely more one for handicaps after this.
Fair on Flat (stays 1½m), winning at Wolverhampton in October (below par latest). Hurdle debut. Probably best to look elsewhere.
Fair form in bumpers. Reasonable start over hurdles when fifth of 12 at Fontwell last month but Aucunrisque looks the yard first string.
Fairly useful but temperamental on Flat (stays 1¾m) for Hugo Palmer. Joined a respected yard on hurdle debut and one which has won this race 3 times since 2013.
Looks more one for handicaps based on her 2 starts in recent weeks.
Runner-up twice prior to making all in juvenile company at Stratford in August. Limitations exposed in defeat since and surely vulnerable again.
Fairly useful on Flat (stays 1¼m) and built on a promising hurdle debut second when scoring easily at Catterick last month despite again pulling hard. Open to further progress and leading claims.

Forecasts
Aucunrisque (6/4), Stream Of Stars (2/1), Sonning (3/1), Any Givin Sunday (12/1), Fred Bear (18/1), Sami Bear (33/1), Systemic (40/1), Gold Souk (100/1), Beat The Heat (150/1), Flaherty (150/1)
An interesting opener. SONNING and Stream of Stars both arrive on the back of ready victories and look capable of better again, with a narrow preference for the former. Chris Gordon is seeking a hat-trick of wins in this contest and Aucunrisque has certainly achieved enough in bumpers to think he can make his presence felt here.
