6/1

Fairly useful hurdler who landed a 2m Wexford maiden chase in July. Readily outpointed by Golden Taipan on debut for new yard over C&D last time, but now meets that rival on 8 lb better terms.

Golden Taipan^t¹⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 10-8| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| OR: 128| CD

2/1

Multiple hurdles winner who finally got off the mark over fences in a 4-runner C&D handicap in October. Wasn't beaten far off this revised mark at Wincanton next time and obvious claims.

Form: 222313

Son Of Camas²⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-3| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson| OR: 123| D

7/4

Bumper/hurdles winner in 2019/2020. Yet to fully convince over fences, though he wasn't disgraced on return at Sandown (2½m) and this 4 lb lower mark and drop back in trip are both positive factors.

Form: P304-44

Forecasts

Son Of Camas (7/4), Golden Taipan (2/1), Wild Max (11/4), Raya Time (6/1)

This looks very trappy indeed. SON OF CAMAS appeared to take a step back in the right direction when fourth in a more competitive race at Sandown last month and is worth chancing back down in trip off a 4 lb lower mark. Raya Time perhaps needed the run when chasing home Golden Taipan here in October and is capable of a bold show, but if Wild Max takes to fences he could emerge as the main threat.
