Built on his promising hurdles return here when making a successful chase debut at Hexham (extended 3m) last month, battling well. Very much one to follow over fences.

Torigni^p1¹⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 10-11| J: D A Jacob| T: H Whittington| OR: 132

3/1

Useful hurdler who matched that form despite failing to justify support on chase debut at Market Rasen (21.4f) last month (lost shoe). Dropped 2 lb and every chance he'll do better. Headgear goes on.

Form: 3331-03

Bushypark²⁸⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 10-11| J: Thomas Dowson| T: P A Kirby| OR: 132| D

9/4

Big improver in handicap hurdles last season, completing a 5-timer when making all in extended 3m Haydock contest when last seen in February. Should take to chasing (point winner) and lots to like.

Form: 111101-

Illegal Model^t²⁶⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 10-11| J: B S Hughes| T: C E Longsdon| OR: 128| D

4/1

Fairly useful winner at 23f over hurdles. Didn't look the finished article in handicaps in that sphere last season and likely to do just as good over fences, though returns in a hot little contest.

Form: 61/3546-

Forecasts

Doyen Breed (85/40), Bushypark (9/4), Torigni (3/1), Illegal Model (4/1)

A case can be made for all the runners in a hot little handicap with DOYEN BREED taken to defy a penalty for his Hexham win. He showed a good attitude to get on top from a classy rival on that occasion and there is plenty more to come from him over fences. Bushypark completed a 5-timer over hurdles when last seen and is very interesting sent chasing on his return.
