9/2

Champs Elysees filly. Dam (c111/h112), 2m-2¾m hurdle/chase winner, half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 25f) Helpston. Noteworthy newcomer.

Form:

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Fergus Gregory⁽³⁾| T: S Allwood

25/1

Pearl Secret filly. Dam (b86) bumper winner, also 11f-2m winner on Flat. Should have enough speed for this sort of test, so not a forlorn hope.

10/3

Soldier of Fortune filly. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stays 3¼m) Fagan. One for shortlist on debut given connections.

Form:

Kindgirl

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Ben Bromley⁽⁷⁾| T: Mrs M Rowley

7/1

Proconsul filly. Dam 1¼m winner. Not an obvious sort on paper, but worth noting if the market speaks in his favour.

Form:

Lacila Blue

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Sean Quinlan| T: N W Alexander

18/1

Muhaymin filly. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler (17f-19f winner) Ci Blue.

Form:

Mayway⁴⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Joe Williamson⁽⁵⁾| T: P A Kirby

66/1

Didn't offer much on debut at Market Rasen 49 days ago, so likely to struggle once again.

Form: 9

Mygirlmel

25/1

2,500 gns 3-y-o, Bobby's Kitten filly. Half-sister to 2 winners on Flat, including 1½m winner Aldente.

Form:

Nefyn Sands

16/1

Havana Gold filly. Half-sister to 2 winners, including fairly useful hurdler Rasiym. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler (2m winner) Discovery Bay. Others are more appealing.

Form:

Redesdale Angel

18/1

Cityscape filly. Half-sister to 4 winners on Flat, including 2m winner Generous Dream. Dam (b99) bumper winner. Makes some appeal on pedigree.

Form:

Turbulent Power²⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Aaron Anderson⁽⁵⁾| T: B Rothwell

25/1

Big price and only fifth in a bumper at Huntingdon first time out, so she looks vulnerable.

Form: 5

Forecasts

Bounce Back (2/1), Fortuitous Favour (10/3), Chic Avenue (9/2), Kindgirl (7/1), Nefyn Sands (16/1), Redesdale Angel (18/1), Lacila Blue (18/1), Turbulent Power (25/1), Dooby (25/1), Mygirlmel (25/1), Mayway (66/1)

The Flat-bred BOUNCE BACK hails from a stable renowned for having its newcomers well clued up for their debut, so she gets the nod ahead of Chic Avenue, whose yard had a comfortable winner of a similar event recently. Fortuitous Favour is another one to note.
