Yet to win over fences but did show some very useful form when runner-up 3 times in maiden company in Ireland last year. Never involved in Irish National final start but still respected on return.
Fairyhouse maiden chase winner in January and posted a couple of respectable efforts in handicaps in the spring. Should be sharper for a recent comeback run over hurdles.
Pulled up in Kim Muir at Festival in March but he did win off only 1 lb lower on last season's reappearance. Interesting runner having joined Nicky Henderson.
Bumper/hurdle winner who made a winning return from another wind operation in a small-field handicap at Fakenham last month. This more competitive but he still merits plenty of respect.
Displayed useful form when runner-up 3 times over fences for Nick Mitchell last sesaon. May have needed run in Ffos Las maiden hurdle on recent return for new trainer. Can do better back chasing
Last seen getting up near the finish in a 29f Cartmel veterans' event in May. Only nudged up 2 lb so he ought to be competitive if ready to roll after 166 days off.
Resumed winning ways back chasing at Down Royal a fortnight ago, though he did very much have the run of the race from the front so the suspicion is he could prove vulnerable off a higher mark here.
Winner of 3m handicap chase at Kempton for Oliver Sherwood last autumn. Showed he retains his abiltiy when second in a novice hurdle there on his return for a new yard 5 days ago.
Back to winning ways over 21f at Stratford last month (third time he's won that particular race) but he doesn't necesarily strike as an obvious one to follow up off 2 lb higher in this deeper race.
Useful chaser at his best, but not at that level in 5 starts in France since joining this yard. Mark on the slide but hasn't been showing enough to suggest he can capitalise.
Built on promising run at Chepstow when landing 17-runner similar event over C&D 22 days ago by 1½ lengths from reopposing Fact of The Matter. 5 lb rise may not stop him with more improvement likely.
C&D winner during his time with Johnny Farrelly but offered little behind a few of these over C&D on last month's reappearance for a new yard.
Five-time chase winner who has been in back in form this autumn, chasing home Strictlyadancer in another C&D big-field event for amateur riders' last month. 2 lb out handicap this time.

STRICTLYADANCER won a similar event over C&D last time in the manner of one who should have have more to come so he's fancied to make light of a 5 lb rise. Minella Encore and Another Venture, who has his first start for Nicky Henderson here, are others who could go well. Irish-trained top-weight Opposites Attract completes the shortlist.
