Due Reward^t²³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-13| J: Paul O'Brien| T: C E Longsdon| OR: 131

40/1

Useful hurdler/chaser on his day in Ireland but profile is rather hit and miss. Sold from Henry De Bromhead for £20,000 in September and last of 9 on yard bow at Market Rasen last month. More needed.

Form: 9-26409

Our Power^p1²³⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: S Thomas| OR: 130| C

3/1

Fairly useful hurdler winner for Nigel Twiston-Davies but pulled up on his last two runs. Cheekpieces fitted for yard/chase debut, and he's no forlorn hope for in-form handler.

Form: 1/634PP-

Rockstar Ronnie²⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-9| J: Bridget Andrews| T: D Skelton| OR: 127

16/1

Successful in his only point and won 2 novice hurdles last season but he proved a disappointment on his first go in this sphere when last of 4 in Newton Abbot novice handicap. Worth another chance.

Form: 21129-4

Fairway Freddy²²

Age: 8| Weight: 11-5| J: Tabitha Worsley⁽⁵⁾| T: N J Gifford| OR: 123| CD

10/1

Three-time winner last term, including over C&D. Made an encouraging return when third of 6 in handicap over C&D 22 days ago, so he merits serious consideration eased 3 lb now.

Form: 5141P-3

Generous Day³³

Age: 9| Weight: 11-4| J: Lorcan Williams⁽³⁾| T: Henry Oliver| OR: 122| C

9/1

Course winner who was off 6 months before well-held fourth of 6 back over hurdles at Ludlow (2m) 33 days ago. Should strip fitter now returned to this sphere. Shortlisted.

Form: 83313-4

Isolate²²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King| OR: 122| CD

6/4

Has taken well to fences, and he opened his account in handicap over C&D 22 days ago, well on top at the finish. Up 5 lb but still lightly raced in this sphere and weighted to go close.

Form: 38-3321

Zoffee^p1³²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: T J O'Brien| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR: 122

15/2

Scored at Exeter last October but held back by his jumping subsequently, leading when falling 2 out (running well) in handicap there last month. Cheekpieces reached for now.

Form: P63-23F

Darebin^p¹⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 10-10| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR: 114| CD

11/1

Temperamental sort who bounced back in changed headgear (cheekpieces on) to win 5-runner handicap chase at Fontwell (17.8f) 19 days ago. Landed this event in 2019 too, so needs considering.

Form: 180-P21

Court Royale³³

Age: 8| Weight: 10-10| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR: 114| D

25/1

Fairly useful hurdler/chaser at his best but he came in last of 6 in 2m Ludlow handicap hurdle 33 days ago. Others are preferred.

Form: 3-5P626

Forecasts

Isolate (6/4), Our Power (3/1), Zoffee (15/2), Generous Day (9/1), Fairway Freddy (10/1), Darebin (11/1), Rockstar Ronnie (16/1), Court Royale (25/1), Due Reward (40/1)

A case can be made for a few of these, but ISOLATE looked to have more to offer in this sphere when a ready C&D scorer last month so Alan King's 5-y-o gets the nod. Fairway Freddy teed himself up nicely for a second C&D success when third on his reappearance and is feared most, with 2019 victor Darebin not taken lightly either for a yard among the winners.
