Improved for new yard last term, successful at Hereford and Newbury prior to finishing second over 23.8f here when last seen in April. Possibilities if fully-tuned up for this reappearance.

Five-time hurdles winner at Uttoxeter, but he was well held on the most recent of his 2 starts in this sphere and it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Started last season with a bang, bagging handicap chases at Stratford and Hereford. Below par here when last seen in March, but he clearly goes well fresh and is high on the shortlist.

Has an all-or-nothing profile and while he probably would've finished a creditable second but for unseating at the final fence at Stratford (22.6f) last month, others make more appeal here.

Useful chaser at best and back to form from out of the blue when outpointing Tinkers Hill Tommy and 5 others here in April. However, recent reappearance effort at Wincanton was hardly encouraging.

Failed to fire on return at Chepstow, but left that effort well behind when bolting up in first-time cheekpieces at Exeter (24.2f) 16 days ago. Has to enter calculations, despite going up 10 lb.

Did the job well when opening his chase account at Worcester in June, but has failed to back that up on his next 2 starts and now has a bit to prove.

Improved when landing handicap chases at Ffos Las (19.4f) and over 21.2f here during the spring. Placed both starts this time round (latterly over hurdles) and claims if coping with this stiffer test.

Forecasts

Arcade Attraction (7/2), Reve (4/1), From The Heart (4/1), Cuban Pete (13/2), Tinkers Hill Tommy (13/2), Cape Robin (8/1), Sirobbie (10/1), Kilfilum Cross (10/1), Another Stowaway (11/1)

Verdict

The vote goes to CUBAN PETE, who boasts a good record when fresh and there are no concerns surrounding the 9-y-o on account of the trip/ground here. On the other hand, Arcade Attraction's stamina has to be taken on trust, but he'll be a threat if this trip proves to be within range. From The Heart has to be feared on the back of his facile Exeter success and Tinkers Hill Tommy also has claims.
