Copper Coin²⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 11-12| J: R Patrick| T: M Scudamore| OR: 133| D

11/4

It's really clicked with him of late, winning last 3 completed starts. Did it emphatically back from a break in Uttoxeter handicap hurdle 4 weeks ago and even a 9 lb rise may not stop him.

Form: 3611-U1

Giovanni Change²⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-9| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: M Walford| OR: 130

7/1

Front-runner who completed a Market Rasen double in the spring but handicapper has been winning the argument since.

Form: 911-335

Taxmeifyoucan^p²³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Billy Garritty| T: K Dalgleish| OR: 123| C

16/1

Course winner over 3¼m in February but he's struggled for form since, including in 4 runs on the Flat this autumn. Is back to that successful winning mark but has too much to prove.

Form: 395169-

Coolbane Boy¹⁹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-13| J: Danny McMenamin| T: A M Thomson| OR: 120

4/1

Bumper winner/fair maiden hurdler at up to 3m in Ireland. Needs keeping a close eye on in the betting now switching to handicap company for new trainer Sandy Thomson.

Form: 324867-

Aurora Thunder²⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-12| J: S Mulqueen| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 119| BF

11/2

Fairly useful handicap hurdler who ran close to form when third on her Kelso reappearance in September. Didn't convince over fences back there since and quickly reverts to the smaller obstacles.

Form: P632-34

Morraman¹⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 10-8| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 115| CD

3/1

Dual hurdles winner in 2019. Seems to be getting a bit of a run at his racing again now and ran well for second at Hereford (25.5f) 18 days ago. In the mix for his in-form yard.

Form: 4/0-6442

Pammi^p²⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-7| J: Harry Reed| T: J S Goldie| OR: 114| C| D

12/1

Already a 3-time winner this season, the latest at Perth (3m) in September. Latest 2½m Hexham fourth no more than respectable, but perhaps the return to 3m will help.

Form: 124134

Forecasts

Copper Coin (11/4), Morraman (3/1), Coolbane Boy (4/1), Aurora Thunder (11/2), Giovanni Change (7/1), Pammi (12/1), Wemyss Point (12/1), Taxmeifyoucan (16/1)

COPPER COIN really has come good in 2021 and is fancied to defy the handicapper again and add to his Uttoxeter success at the beginning of the month. Coolbane Boy is an intriguing runner on first outing for Sandy Thomson, particularly if the market vibes are strong. Morraman is also respected for in-form Donald McCain.
