Won a pair of handicap hurdles last term, latest under a penalty at Doncaster (19.4f) in March. Not disgraced when fourth at Uttoxeter 6 weeks later and should go well back in a novice on return.

Little impact in a couple of bumpers. Seemingly running better race over hurdles when falling last in a novice at Chepstow in March, but low-grade handicaps will be more his bag.

Promising second in a novice at Hereford on hurdles bow in November. Well beaten on heavy ground only subsequent outing but better expected this term. Had wind operation/now tongue tied.

Well held on only start in bumpers and needed the experience when only sixth of 7 on Fakenham hurdle bow. Has finished 3rd in a point since leaving Nigel Twiston-Davies.

Fame And Glory gelding who made an impressive winning bumper debut at Huntingdon (15.8f) in May, quickening to lead over 2f out. Destined for better things and of major interest on hurdle debut.

Failed to progress from his Wetherby fall when a well-held third of 8 to Adagio in a Warwick juvenile last November, but in a top yard and remains capable of better.

Is bred for stamina and shaped accordingly when fourth of 11 in a Worcester bumper on debut in May, plugging on. Makes hurdles debut and probably won't be of interest until tackling longer trips.

Milan mare who shaped like a stayer both starts in bumpers for Fergal O'Brien. Off 8 months ahead of hurdle/stable debut and should do better somewhere down the line.

Verdict

CALL OF THE WILD couldn't have been much more impressive in making a winning bumper debut at Huntingdon in May, so he looks one to follow over obstacles. Onemorefortheroad isn’t sure to be suited by this drop back in trip but he’s still considered the main threat ahead of Lustleigh, who’s in the right hands to do better this season.
