Won the 2019 Midlands National and Welsh National but not so productive last season and pulled up in Grand National to end campaign. Must bounce back after 6 months off.
Cut little ice in the face of stiff tasks last season and failed to complete back in handicap company when last seen at Punchestown 6 months ago. First go in a veterans' chase so can feature.
3 time C&D winner who won this contest from the same mark last year. Not so good at Uttoxeter back in June but likely to be primed for a big run, so warrants consideration.
Scored at Clonmel in March but has been beaten a long way in 4 subsequent starts (including once over hurdles) so others make more appeal on this occasion.
Two from 3 in hunter events during 2020 and added to his tally when making all in 5-runner similar event at Worcester (23f, soft, 3/1) back in May. More needed but warrants respect on handicap bow.
Inconsistent chaser on a long losing run, but has dropped to a good mark on his best form and returns under Rules from 19 months off. Successful between the flags back in June so not ruled out.
Several good placed efforts last season and had the race sewn up when coming down 2 out at Fontwell (3¼m, heavy) in February. Not so good on next 2 starts and has a bit to prove on reappearance.

Forecasts
Minellacelebration (2/1), Wishing And Hoping (11/4), Black Op (3/1), Captain Chaos (10/3), Rolling Dylan (10/1), Un Prophete (10/1), Big River (14/1), Robin Des Foret (18/1), Potters Corner (22/1)
Several in with a chance but it could pay to side with BLACK OP. Tom George's charge was unable to make a splash in graded events last season but, having showed up well for a long way in the Cheltenham Gold Cup on his penultimate start, he's taken to make his first go in a veterans' chase a winning one. Last year's winner Minellacelebration rates as the main danger, ahead of Captain Chaos.
