Career best when winning easily in 6-runner handicap hurdle (2/1) at Perth (20.2f, good) in April. Seemed amiss next time, but reappears with the potential for better still, so definite player.

Poor maiden hurdler who has work to do from this mark and ran no sort of race when last seen at Ffos Las 158 days ago. Bit to prove on return.

Left previous form well behind when upsetting the odds to land an 11-runner event at Fontwell a fortnight ago. Hard to know if he'll turn up in the same form this time, though.

Thriving at present and wasn't hard pressed to make it 3 from his last 4 at Huntingdon 10 days ago. Obvious claims under a penalty.

Forecasts

Midnight Jewel (4/5), Jumping Cats (7/2), Maliboo (6/1), Balkardy (13/2), Tigray (25/1), Wendreda (80/1)

Verdict

MIDNIGHT JEWEL is on a roll and had a fair bit up his sleeve when scoring at Huntingdon recently, so he's an obvious choice to go in again under a penalty. The reappearing Maliboo is a danger if back on the up, while Jumping Cats could pose a threat if in the same form as when successful at Fontwell a fortnight ago.

  1. MIDNIGHT JEWEL
  2. MALIBOO (IRE)
  3. JUMPING CATS
