(2)

Alhammaam^t⁹⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: S C Williams

12/1

Twice-raced maiden. Fifth of 9 in minor event (8/1) at Newbury (10f, good to soft). Off 98 days and down in trip on debut for new yard. Possibilities.

Form: 25

(7)

Ivan Drago²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Hollie Doyle| T: R Spencer

50/1

Once-raced maiden. 50/1, ninth of 12 in minor event at this C&D on debut 28 days ago. Will need to leave that form well behind if he's to make an impact.

Form: 9

(4)

Ethel C³²

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: Liam Jones| T: H Spiller

200/1

Once-raced maiden. Last of 5 in minor event (80/1) at this course (8f) on debut 32 days ago. Hard to warm to on the back of that low-key display.

Form: 5

(5)

Golden Owl^b1,t⁵⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: Oisin Murphy| T: J Tuite

17/2

Twice-raced maiden. Second of 12 in maiden (20/1) at Chepstow (7.1f, good to firm) 56 days ago, no match for winner. Blinkers on 1st time and she needs to take another step forward.

Form: 52

(1)

Placated⁹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: Josephine Gordon| T: Dr J D Scargill

150/1

Twice-raced maiden. Sixth of 7 in maiden (150/1) at Yarmouth (8f, good to firm). Off 99 days. Probably more one for handicaps in due course.

Form: 06

(3)

9/1

Once-raced maiden. Fourth of 12 in minor event (25/1) at Kempton (8f) on debut 22 days ago. Open to improvement and she should make her presence felt.

Form: 4

Forecasts

Lord Lovelace (2/9), Golden Owl (17/2), Under The Twilight (9/1), Alhammaam (12/1), Ivan Drago (50/1), Placated (150/1), Ethel C (200/1)

Ready preference is for LORD LOVELACE, who did the job well on debut at Kempton prior to chasing home Sunray Major over this C&D last month, in turn pulling clear of next-time-out winner Great Hunter. Sunray Major has also boosted that form since with a cosy handicap success at Ascot. Under The Twilight made an encouraging start to her career at Kempton and she is next best ahead of Alhammaam.
