Eastern Sheriff^p³⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-11| J: B A Curtis| T: H Palmer| OR: 87| D

5/4

Useful gelding. 18/1, last of 10 in handicap at Newcastle (12.4f) 39 days ago. That was an undeniably tame effort, but now eased in class and he's very much the one to beat on these terms.

Forecasts

Eastern Sheriff (5/4), Khagan (7/4), Three Castles (5/1), Norman Kindu (10/1), Cease And Desist (25/1), New Delhi Express (66/1)

Providing all is well following a lifeless effort at Newcastle last time, EASTERN SHERIFF should prove hard to beat now pitched into a seller for the first time. Khagan has so far failed to reproduce anything akin to his useful French form on these shores, but he's the clear main danger on these terms. Fellow Andre Fabre cast-off Cease And Desist is worth a second look in the betting.
