Well-bred colt who made the ideal start when overcoming greenness to land a maiden at Doncaster earlier in the month. Should be a good deal more to come, so he could well defy a penalty.

Is bred to have some speed but looked more of a long-term prospect when down the field at Goodwood on debut.

Didn't offer much when failing to beat a rival at Newmarket on debut, so up against it in what looks a hot race on paper.

Just modest form in two outings to date, never much of a threat despite finishing third over C&D last time. Looks vulnerable once more.

Foaled February 11. Jack Hobbs gelding. Dam 1¼m-1½m winner. Want to consider if the market speaks in his favour.

Steppd forward from his debut when just touched off in a C&D event earlier in the month. May well do better still, so looks sure to be on the premises once again.

Foaled January 29. Dubawi filly. Sister to useful 1¼m-11f winner Wink of An Eye and half-sister to 3 winners, including 6f/7f winner Merlin. Dam 1¼m winner. Makes plenty of appeal on paper.

Has looked in need of experience and longer trips on both outings to date, so she looks the type to make a bigger impact once qualified for a mark.

Israr (6/4), Wind Your Neck In (11/4), Discretion (9/2), The Gadget Man (9/1), Quavering (12/1), Juan Bermudez (20/1), Eklil (22/1), Bushfire (25/1), Snapcracklepop (33/1), Tidal Storm (66/1), Shibuya Song (66/1), Eddie The Beagle (80/1), Later Darling (125/1)

Verdict

ISRAR is out of an incredibly talented mare and he looked to have plenty of class himself when making a winning start at Doncaster 22 days ago. He should have learned plenty from that, so he's fancied to take a big leap forward and overcome a penalty despite the presence of Wind Your Neck In, who looks above average. Discretion is the pick of the newcomers on paper.

  1. ISRAR
  2. WIND YOUR NECK IN (IRE)
  3. DISCRETION
