Useful stayer on the Flat for Simon Crisford and has finally come good over hurdles in recent weeks, winning a maiden/novice at Stratford. Mark looks workable back in a handicap.
Winner of novices at Ludlow and Taunton in the spring. Only fifth of 6 on Cartmel handicap debut in May but this lightly-raced 6-y-o retains potential back from a break.
Improved to win handicap at Perth and claimer at Huntingdon (both 2m) for Dr Richard Newland but has yet to show much for current yard, including back hurdling last time.
Four handicap hurdle wins last summer. Added to his tally on Jersey in July but latest third of 4 at Stratford no more than respectable.
Won a C&D handicap in May but disappointed on his next 2 starts and veered badly right and unseated at the first last time. Been given a short break.
Made a winning start for new trainer Deborah Faulkner in 2m Newton Abbot handicap 11 days ago. Ought to remain competitive after a 5 lb rise.
Encouraging return from a monster absence when 2 lengths second of 14 at Southwell in February and, while he failed to back it up next time, he could go well fresh from 6 months off.
Goes in search of a hat-trick after wins at Uttoxeter and Newton Abbot (easily) this summer. A 12 lb rise demands more of him but he's hard to rule out in his current mood.
Fairly useful winner on Fla for Ian Williams. Placed in maiden/novice hurdles in July (C&D latterly) and opening handicap mark in this sphere looks fair. Respected.
Fairly useful hurdler/chaser for Dan Skelton at his best but he recorded a couple of poor runs in the spring and it remains to be seen whether a change of stable sparks a revival.

Forecasts
Percy's Word (11/4), Ragamuffin (10/3), Matewan (5/1), Captain Jack (13/2), Blue Ribbon (8/1), Ordered Lives (9/1), Jamacho (12/1), Dinsdale (14/1), Borak (16/1), Falcon Sun (50/1), Chef De Troupe (100/1)
It's all clicked for PERCY'S WORD over hurdles of late and he may be capable of making it 3 wins in a row now back in handicap. Matewan should be up to doing something from this mark over hurdles based on his Flat ability and the level he achieved when placed in maiden/novice hurdles in the summer so he's feared most ahead of Ragamuffin, who like the selection bids for a hat-trick.
