Lurking on a very dangerous mark, particularly judged on his exploits over fences. However, it's been more than 2 years since he last got his head in front and others have more pressing claims.
Front runner who bagged 3 juvenile events at Market Rasen in 2020. Mixed bag since, though, and didn't appear to get home upped to this trip in the C&D race won by The Blame Game last time.
Enhanced good strike rate over fences when landing a 4-runner handicap here (21f) at the beginning of the month. 7 lb lower back hurdling, but he's 0-8 in this sphere.
Made it 2-3 here when accounting for 5 rivals in a C&D handicap last month, despite leaving the impression that this trip is at the lower end of his stamina range. 2 lb rise fair, but more needed.
Thoroughly consistent over hurdles and notched fifth success in this sphere at Cartmel (17f) in July. However, now 6 lb higher in a tougher race and effort on the Flat last month lacked spark.
Gained first success since 2017/18 campaign when scoring in good style at Kelso (2¼m) recently. Remains on a handy mark, despite going up 9 lb, and another bold show is very much on the cards.
Bumper winner for Alan King, but more miss than hit over hurdles for that yard and fared little better starting out for new connections at Kelso when last seen in April. Cheekpieces enlisted.
Flat winner who was in the process of running a big race when exiting at the final flight on handicap debut in this sphere at Huntingdon (25f) last November. Absent since, but claims if ready to roll.
Sole hurdles success was gained back in December 2019, but he didn't shape badly on the back of a wind op when fourth at Hexham (2m) last month. Live each-way chance back up in trip here.
Showed more than on his hurdles debut when third in a 4-runner Kelso novice (21f) 13 days ago. Will need to build on that in order to have a say on this handicap debut, but that's entirely possible.
Off the mark at fourth attempt over timber when taking 12-runner C&D handicap last month, proving 1¾ lengths too good for Countister. However, subsequent effort at Perth was underwhelming.
The majority of his better efforts have come here, not least when third over C&D on penultimate start. Still, record in this sphere stands at 0-11 and he was below par when last seen in February.

Forecasts
Do No Wrong (4/1), Countister (9/2), The Blame Game (11/2), Instant Replay (8/1), Just Call Me Al (9/1), Millie The Minx (9/1), Demi Sang (12/1), Soldier On Parade (14/1), Art Of Diplomacy (16/1), Celestial Sky (20/1), Adelphi Prince (25/1), Arkyn (33/1)
COUNTISTER was outpointed by Do No Wrong over C&D last month, but she looked resurgent when striking at Kelso subsequently and it's unlikely that a 9 lb rise will be enough to stop her. Conversely, Do No Wrong misfired at Catterick since and now has a bit to prove. The Blame Game scored here last time and merits respect, but Just Call Me Al and Art of Diplomacy may emerge as the main dangers.
- COUNTISTER (FR)
- JUST CALL ME AL (IRE)
- ART OF DIPLOMACY
