Hoopmalassie²⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-4| J: Callum Rodriguez| T: K Dalgleish

7/1

Showed ability on first of 2 starts in bumpers and her Hamilton third over 11f on Flat debut 24 days ago wasn't without promise. Feasible to think she can build on that now tackling 1½m.

Form: 3

Paramaribo³⁵⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: A Mullen| T: I Jardine

12/1

Fetched 130,000 gns as a yearling but he showed only greenness when well held in Salisbury novice event (1m) this time last year. Has since switched yards and interesting what the market makes of him.

Form: 0-

Artemisia Lomi²³

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: K Stott| T: W J Haggas| OR: 73

8/11

Well held on debut at Chelmsford in July but fair form in defeat all 3 starts since, not seen to best effect when close-up last of 4 at Haydock (11.6f) last time. One to consider here.

Form: 8324

(1)

Cilka¹²

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: T Hamilton| T: Adrian Nicholls

40/1

Mastercraftsman filly who was easy to back and looked one for the longer-term when well held fourth of 5 on debut in a Thirsk novice (12f) earlier this month.

Form: 4

(5)

Stay Home¹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: J Fanning| T: C & M Johnston

9/2

Fascinating Rock filly who showed some ability when plugging on for fifth on debut in a Beverley novice (10f) 10 days ago. In good hands and she rates a likely improver.

Form: 5

Forecasts

Artemisia Lomi (8/11), Stay Home (9/2), First Account (6/1), Hoopmalassie (7/1), Paramaribo (12/1), Cilka (40/1), New Delhi Express (80/1)

Not a strong novice event and it may pay to side with ARTEMISIA LOMI. She wasn't seen to best effect at Haydock on her latest outing but the balance of her form gives her sound claims in this line-up and she can come out on top. Stay Home and Hoopmalassie can do battle for minor honours.
