11/10

Fair hurdler who responded well to headgear when off the mark in maiden hurdle at Hexham before a promising chasing debut in a handicap at this course 74 days ago. Should go one better.

Form: 703-512

Makka Pakka⁶⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-9| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: Dr R D P Newland| OR: 114

3/1

Fair ex-Irish hurdler who made a bright start to his chasing career when runner-up in a handicap at Market Rasen a couple of months ago. Solid claims on just his third outing for a shrewd yard.

Form: 5330/6-2

Age: 9| Weight: 11-2| J: S Mulqueen| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 107| CD

9/2

Four-time C&D winner but no impact here this term. Mark is sliding, but hard to envisage a full revival based on latest effort.

12/1

Modest handicap hurdler who has been struggling for form this season. Others are more persuasive.

Form: 75P-678

Forecasts

O Connell Street (11/10), Makka Pakka (3/1), Boy's On Tour (9/2), Brelan D'As (9/1), Pat's Pearl (12/1)

O'CONNELL STREET was better than the result when runner-up at this course on handicap debut and should benefit from the drop back in trip, so he's a confident choice to go one better at the likely expense of Makka Pakka, who also arrives on the back of a positive initial outing in this sphere. The other trio have something to prove.
