Anatoli¹⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: K J Manning| T: J Feane

125/1

Aclaim colt who justified market confidence to make a winning debut at Dundalk 10 days ago but that was a weak maiden so firmly up against it here.

Form: 1

(6)

Duke De Sessa²²

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: Colin Keane| T: D K Weld| C

8/1

Confirmed debut promise to win 11-runner maiden at the Curragh with plenty in hand. Perhaps significant that he has been fast-tracked to this level.

Form: 31

(4)

Ebro River³⁵

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: James Doyle| T: H Palmer| OR: 114| C

13/2

Form seemed to have levelled off but found a chunk of improvement when an all-the-way winner of the Phoenix Stakes here (6f) 5 weeks ago. Must be respected given he's the only Group 1 winner here.

Form: 115441

(2)

Great Max²²

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: R G Ryan| T: M L W Bell| OR: 102| D

28/1

Had a bit in hand when making a winning debut in a Newbury novice but has come up short in better company since, 4 lengths second in Solario Stakes at Sandown 3 weeks ago.

Form: 1352

(7)

Native Trail⁶⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: W Buick| T: C Appleby| OR: 108| D

7/2

Justified market confidence in maiden at Sandown on debut and big improvement when following up in the Superlative Stakes at Newmarket. Smart prospect who's well worth a shot at this level.

Form: 11

(1)

Point Lonsdale²²

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: R L Moore| T: A P O'Brien| OR: 115| CD

8/13

One of the best juveniles seen out so far, completing 4-timer in Group 2 C&D Futurity Stakes 3 weeks ago. More to come and likely to prove very hard to beat.

Form: 1111

(5)

Ultramarine¹⁶

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: S M Crosse| T: J P O'Brien| OR: 100

100/1

Useful maiden but unlikely he'll be breaking his duck in this.

Form: 452234

Forecasts

Point Lonsdale (8/13), Native Trail (7/2), Ebro River (13/2), Duke De Sessa (8/1), Great Max (28/1), Ultramarine (100/1), Anatoli (125/1)

POINT LONSDALE reaffirmed his status as one of the best juveniles seen out so far this year with a decidedly smart performance in the Futurity Stakes over this C&D and can provide Aidan O'Brien with a 12th win in this. Ebro River is already a winner at this level having made all in the Phoenix Stakes here and this trip should be within reach, while the unbeaten Native Trail looks a smart prospect.
