Roseabad¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: R Kingscote| T: C & M Johnston| OR: 92| D

15/2

Wasted no time getting back to form when making all at Carlisle (14.2f) 17 days ago, displaying a good attitude. This is clearly tougher up 5 lb but no surprise if she went well again.

Golden Flame¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: J Fanning| T: C & M Johnston| OR: 90| D

9/1

Bath maiden and AW handicap winner in April but looking pretty much exposed now and was well beaten behind Valley Forge in the Melrose.

Form: 211020

Valley Forge¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: David Probert| T: A M Balding| OR: 90| D

11/8

Took another step forward from his Ffos Las maiden win when landing the big-field Melrose handicap at York in good style a fortnight ago, easing into contention and knuckling down well. More to come.

Form: 53211

Praiano¹³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Andrea Atzeni| T: R Varian| OR: 85| BF

3/1

Improved again to make a winning start in handicaps at Leicester (1½m) and then had nothing go his way in follow-up bid over this trip at Sandown behind Oceanline. Respected off same mark.

Form: 62214

Contact²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Ray Dawson| T: T D Barron| OR: 85

13/2

Ran out an easy winner at Pontefract (1½m) in June and fair efforts since in C&D and Ascot events. Suspect this will be too tough.

Form: 134154

Tynwald¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: D Tudhope| T: R Hughes| OR: 82| BF

14/1

Won first 2 starts at Bath over 11.6f but proved very disappointing on handicap debut at Windsor 19 days ago, dropping away from 2f out after hanging left. Steps up in trip now.

Forecasts

Valley Forge (11/8), Praiano (3/1), Vino Victrix (4/1), Oceanline (6/1), Contact (13/2), Roseabad (15/2), Golden Flame (9/1), Tynwald (14/1)

VALLEY FORGE was an impressive winner in the Melrose at York and that should prove to be good form, so he's fancied to defy a 7 lb rise and follow up in a handicap his yard has a good recent record in. Praiano got little luck when behind Oceanline at Sandown and looks a big player. Vino Victrix is another to consider.
