Nicks Not Wonder¹³

Age: 4| Weight: 10-3| J: Saffie Osborne⁽⁵⁾| T: J A Osborne| OR: 72| BF| D

10/1

Creditable runner-up efforts at Wolverhampton and Bath on last 2 starts. Generally consistent sort who is likely to give his running again.

Cherry Cola³⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 10-0| J: T E Whelan| T: Miss S West| OR: 69

(3)

King's Castle¹⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-10| J: Rhys Clutterbuck⁽⁵⁾| T: J Tuite| OR: 65

12/1

Mixed bag since gaining breakthrough success in Beverley novice last year. Second at Salisbury in June from 5 lb higher mark than today but below par since, finishing remote fourth at Newbury latest.

Form: 652634

(7)

Eton Blue^p⁹^{(ex 6)}

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: P Cosgrave| T: George Baker| OR: 66| D

4/1

Improved for cheekpieces when readily making all in 1½m Brighton handicap last week. 6 lb penalty in a slightly better race but a bold bid is still likely if showing up in similar form.

Form: 476341

(5)

Hey Teacher¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Oisin Murphy| T: A M Balding| OR: 70| D

1/1

Better with each star, landing a small-field 1½m Ffos Las novice by 9 lengths earlier this month. Likely improver in handicaps for his leading stable.

Form: 721

(1)

Angels Roc¹⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 9-0| J: Charlie Bennett| T: J R Boyle| OR: 55| BF

12/1

Now 0-11 but he did go close over 1¼m here last month. Shade disappointing at Newbury since but no surprise were he to bounce back in a race the yard has won twice in recent years.

Form: 809225

(4)

Blue Beret¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 8-9| J: Hollie Doyle| T: S Dow| OR: 59

6/1

Temperamental sort but she had a good spell last month, finishing second over C&D before going one better at Windsor. Latest 2m Wolverhampton fifth shows she's still in decent nick.

Form: 262145

Forecasts

Hey Teacher (1/1), Eton Blue (4/1), Blue Beret (6/1), Nicks Not Wonder (10/1), King's Castle (12/1), Angels Roc (12/1), Cherry Cola (18/1)

Perhaps best to focus on the 3-y-os, with HEY TEACHER selected to make a winning start in handicaps under Oisin Murphy. Eton Blue is sure to be a threat if in the same form as when making all in clear-cut fashion at Brighton last week, while Jim Boyle has a good recent record in this race so Angels Roc is also respected.
