Promising sort. Knew his job when third of 10 in maiden (16/1) at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) on debut 15 days ago, keeping on inside final 1f. Hard to beat with improvement expected.

Forecasts

New Mission (6/5), Claim The Crown (9/4), Outbreak (9/2), Abbado (8/1), Udaberri (18/1), Down To The Kid (66/1), Gilbert (200/1)

Verdict

CLAIM THE CROWN proved easy to back but shaped with plenty of promise when third at Newmarket just over a fortnight ago. With improvement anticipated, Roger Varian's charge could prove tough to beat. It would be no surprise to see New Mission a different proposition away from the mud so he heads up the dangers, ahead of an interesting newcomer in Outbreak.

  1. CLAIM THE CROWN (IRE)
  2. NEW MISSION
  3. OUTBREAK
