Fairly useful winning hurdler. Been in reasonable form over fences this term and returns to hurdles off the same mark as when winning at Musselburgh last November.

Consistent sort who notched a second hurdle success when seeing off 13 rivals at Uttoxeter 48 days ago. 5 lb rise is unlikely to prevent another prominent showing.

Lightly raced since twice successful at Uttoxeter in 2019 but all the ability is still there. Not seen to best effect (caught wide) when fifth at Worcester last time and treated as if still in form.

Fair maiden hurdler during his time with Nigel Twiston-Davies. Interesting to see if there's any strength behind him in the market on this first outing for Sam Thomas.

Fair bumper winner. Underwhelming stint on the Flat but back on track with a couple of placed efforts in novice hurdles this summer. Opening mark looks tough, though. Up significantly in trip.

Signed off for Dan Skelton with a good effort and has built on that when runner-up in handicaps at Uttoxeter and Bangor for his new yard in recent weeks. 3 lb out of handicap but still respected.

Forecasts

Hunting Percival (5/2), White Walker (16/5), The Bees Knees (7/2), Don't Shout (5/1), Wynford (5/1), Your Band (11/2), Socks Off (22/1), One Handsome Dude (40/1)

Verdict

THE BEES KNEES is back to the same mark as when scoring at Musselburgh last November so makes obvious appeal for the Fergal O'Brien team. Hunting Percival is going the right way so he heads the dangers, while Wynford could also have a major say if turned out again quickly on the back of his Beverley Flat win on Thursday.

  1. THE BEES KNEES (IRE)
  2. HUNTING PERCIVAL
  3. WYNFORD (IRE)
