Hot Summer^b⁴⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-12| J: Ray Dawson⁽³⁾| T: D M Loughnane| OR: 73| CD

7/1

Winless for this yard but better signs of late and return to this trip should suit, so not one to completely dismiss from an easing mark.

Form: 9-87024

Grey Fox^p²⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 9-12| J: H Crouch| T: Miss E C Lavelle| OR: 73| D

As good as ever when doubling his tally for the campaign at Windsor last time, just holding on. Back up in grade, but solid showing expected after 4-lb rise.

Miss Scaletta³⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: W Buick| T: E Walker| OR: 75| D

Goodwood scorer in June but only fair fourth at Wolverhampton a month later. Can get firmly back on track here making her handicap debut.

Goddess Of Fire⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-4| J: Darragh Keenan| T: J Ryan| OR: 65| D

9/4

Running creditably of late while looking vulnerable to less-exposed types, no excuses when third of 6 at Yarmouth 9 days ago.

Form: 485343

(7)

Global Hope^p²²

Age: 6| Weight: 9-1| J: R Havlin| T: Miss Gay Kelleway| OR: 62

25/1

Sliding in the weights without threatening to take advantage, although this step back in trip is likely to work in his favour, at least.

Forecasts

Miss Scaletta (7/4), Goddess Of Fire (9/4), Grey Fox (10/3), Motawaafeq (5/1), Hot Summer (7/1), Masked Identity (10/1), Glenn Coco (14/1), Global Hope (25/1)

MISS SCALETTA is comfortably the least exposed and is bred to be better than a mark of 75, so she's fancied to resume progress and get the better of some older rivals who, in the main, look vulnerable. Motawaafeq is a player if back to the form he showed when successful here on his penultimate outing, while last-time-out winner Grey Fox, shouldn't be ignored.
