Well held both starts to date and looks firmly up against it once more.

Bred to need time, but left debut form well behind when a surprising (150/1) at Uttoxeter 9 days ago. Hard to say whether he'll build on that or not, however.

Well-bred mare who was sent off a short price when third at Hexham on debut, not finding much. Capable of better 85 days on, so boasts obvious claims.

Related to a couple of winners and showed plenty to work on when runner-up at Worcester on debut, albeit seemingly needing the emphasis more on stamina. Could get involved if they go off hard.

Norse Dancer filly. Dam, point winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3m) Malapie. Looks more likely to peak further down the line.

Westerner filly. Dam (h111) bumper/21f-2¾m hurdle winner (stayed 3m). One to take seriously for a stable that enjoys plenty of success in this discipline.

Sister to bumper winner/useful hurdler Tullyesker Hill, but looked in need of further when only mid-field at Perth on debut. Will need to much sharper if she's to make a serious impact in this.

Forecasts

Mourne Lass (5/4), Bonttay (15/8), Shantou Champagne (9/2), Isla Diamonds (14/1), Presenting Grace (14/1), Sister Sophie (16/1), Annie's Dream (50/1), Gerritzen (125/1)

Verdict

BONTTAY is out of a bumper winner and should be well prepared by her shrewd yard for this initial racecourse experience, so she's marginally preferred to Mourne Lass, who didn't quite come up to expectations when third at Hexham on debut, but is obviously quite well regarded. Sister Sophie is the pick of the remainder.

  1. BONTTAY (IRE)
  2. MOURNE LASS (IRE)
  3. SISTER SOPHIE
