King's Proctor^t¹³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Harry Reed| T: M F Harris| OR: 110

10/11

Fairly useful at best on Flat (stays 1¾m) for Mark Johnston in 2018. Not at same level for this yard but fair form when placed at Worcester and Cartmel, worn down only late on latter start. Player.

Form: 32

Low Profile^p¹²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: M Walford| BF

11/2

Modest 14f Flat winner who has largely been in good form on the level this term. Much respected now going hurdling.

Form:

October Storm⁵¹¹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr

11/2

Fair stayer on Flat for Mick Channon but off for 17 months since fifth in Southwell handicap on stable debut back in March 2020. Has a bit to prove now on his hurdles debut.

Form:

Art Man¹⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-1| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| OR: 104

3/1

Fair maiden on Flat in France who has matched that form over hurdles for his new yard. Tongue tie on when below-par fourth in Worcester novice last time, though, so he needs to get back on track.

Form: 3624

Lady Lottie²¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-11| J: Jack Tudor⁽³⁾| T: Christian Williams

125/1

Ex-Irish hurdler who offered little on yard bow when last of 8 in 2m novice hurdle at Stratford 21 days ago. Hard to make a case for.

Form: F-758

Non-Runners

Splinter²

Weight: 11-1| Age: 4

T: A M Hales J: Non Runner

Forecasts

King's Proctor (10/11), Art Man (3/1), Splinter (7/2), October Storm (11/2), Low Profile (11/2), Duneomeno (100/1), Lady Lottie (125/1)

KING'S PROCTOR shaped well when runner-up at Cartmel last time so this one-time fairly useful Flat stayer is taken to open his account. Splinter, despite a lesser effort at Bangor on Friday, holds solid claims too on his Southwell second the time before if taking his chance, while newcomer Low Profile arrives fit and in form from the level so is worth considering too.
