Kayf Tara mare. Sister to 2 winners, including useful hurdler Fahamore, stays 3m, and closely related to fairly useful hurdler/chaser King Cool. One to take seriously on debut.
Good pedigree but a bit disappointing (favourite on debut) on both starts in the spring. Might prove a different proposition after a 3-month break, though.
Bred to need time, so no surprise to see him down the field at Market Rasen on debut, Others make more appeal.
Has run to a modest level when hitting the frame both starts to date, so warrants respect in a race that lacks depth. That said, he's likely to find at least one too good.
Malinas mare. Dam (h86) 2½m-3m hurdle winner. Likely to need more time and distance.
Telescope filly. Dam, lightly raced on Flat, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (2m winner) Press The Button.
Has an appealing pedigree but seemed in need of experience/fitness when only third at Southwell on debut. More to come, so one to consider in a thin race.
Forecasts
Cool Tara (11/4), Kishorn (10/3), Glorious Spirit (7/2), Rachel Louise (4/1), Checkitsme (9/1), Skiddaw Bramble (12/1), Isla Diamonds (150/1)
COOL TARA is well bred and represents a stable with a terrific bumper record, so she's a straightforward choice to make a winning start in a race where the bar isn't set very high by those with experience. Kishorn is likely to improve from her debut, so she's feared most ahead of Rachel Louise.
- COOL TARA
- KISHORN
- RACHEL LOUISE
