Ready winner on debut at Sandown, but that form doesn't look particularly strong and she failed to build on that in a Haydock novice next time. Improvement needed now making the switch to a nursery.

Second to the smart Go Bears Go on debut at Ascot (5f) in May. Beaten favourite upped to 6f the last twice, but this additional increase in distance may serve him well and he's one to consider.

Chepstow winner in June and has found just one too good on each of his 3 subsequent starts, most recently in 7f Chester nursery. This track will be more suitable and he should be in the mix.

Runner-up at Doncaster on second of his 3 starts in maiden company. Subsequently gelded and took a step forward when going close on nursery debut at Ascot (6f) a fortnight ago.

Benefited from the step up to this trip when opening his account in decisive fashion at Brighton (7f) recently. Mark for this nursery debut looks fair and he should have more to offer.

Another who improved for the step up to 7f when making it third time lucky in a Chepstow maiden. Hard to rate that form highly, though, and more is needed now pitched into a nursery.

Left debut well behind when narrowly prevailing in a heavy-ground Haydock novice (7f) in May. However, she failed to improve when making the switch to a nursery last time and looks vulnerable here.

Made the frame on each of her 3 starts in maidens, going close at Chester (7f) on penultimate start. Looked a hard ride on nursery debut over the same C&D next time, though, and others preferred.

Forecasts

Fall Of Rome (15/8), Tyson (16/5), La Pulga (11/2), Mahagoni (7/1), Strozzi (9/1), Devaste (10/1), Rickenbacker (22/1), Radio Caroline (40/1)

Verdict

This step up to 7f promises to suit TYSON, who was doing all his best work at the finish when going close on his recent nursery debut at Ascot and he is taken to go one better here. Devaste scored with a good deal of authority at Brighton and looks dangerous with further progress likely, while Mahagoni and Fall of Rome are others to consider in what looks a competitive heat.

  2. DEVASTE
  3. MAHAGONI
