Returned to form from out of the blue when second at Perth but pulled up at Uttoxeter 20 days ago when beaten a long way out. Visor reached for now and others appeal more.

Has made most impressive start over fences, going 3-3 when readily making all in 2m4f Worcester novice 24 days ago. Looks to have got in lightly back in handicap company and big shout in 4-timer bid.

Likeable chaser who was runner-up in the Topham at Aintree and posted another good effort when fourth of 18 in 2m4f handicap at Uttoxeter last time. Veteran can make his presence felt again.

All 3 chasing wins have come at Uttoxeter and he was posting another good effort there when unseating 4 out 20 days ago. Has run well here too though, so enters calculations in refitted cheekpieces.

Resumed with 2m3f handicap chase win at Haydock before excellent sixth off 10 lb higher mark in big field at Uttoxeter in May. Remains of interest after a break.

Thriving, and he made it 5-7 for current yard with easy success in 2m4f novice hurdle at Worcester 12 days ago. Just as adept over fences and he can make his presence felt once more.

Back from a fourth wind op in excellent form over hurdles, runner-up here before digging deep to score at Worcester (2m4f) 27 days ago. Shouldn't be underestimated back in this sphere.

A model of consistency and he posted good third in 2m5f Cartmel handicap chase in May. Since had a wind op, and he should be in the mix again eased 1 lb in first-time tongue strap.

Opened chase account for Dan Skelton at Southwell in March and has continued in good form subsequently, hampered late when third (promoted place) at Worcester last time. In the shake-up once more.

Back on the up for his current yard, cheekpieces refitted when easily landing 5-runner handicap at Newton Abbot (21f) 15 days ago. No forlorn hope despite being 1 lb out of the handicap.

Unreliable type who ended a losing run stretching more than 2 years in 6-runner handicap chase over C&D 29 days ago. 2 lb out of the handicap and others remain more persuasive, however.

Fairly useful winning chaser at his best but he ended last term under a cloud. Has won off a break before but others are preferred on his comeback from 4 lb "wrong" in the weights.

Verdict

Lots in with a shout in a cracking Summer Plate. CAPTAIN TOM CAT remains unbeaten over fences and is fancied to make it 4-4 having got in lightly returned to handicap company following two impressive wins in novice company. Dan Skelton's in-form Solomon Grey heads the list of dangers, although the thriving Fire Away as well as Templepark and Exelerator Express are also worth a second look.
