Has left hurdles form behind since switched to fences, bagging handicaps with cheekpieces enlisted here (20.4f) and at Worcester (23f) the last twice. Up total of 16 lb, but may have more to offer.

Winner of 2 of her 6 starts since switched to fences, latest success at Uttoxeter (22.5f) in May. Solid placed efforts over hurdles since, but improvement needed off this career-high mark.

Temperamental veteran who has fallen plenty in the weights and placed over this C&D the last twice (hurdles on latter occasion). However, others make more appeal from a win point of view.

Made winning chase debut at Perth last autumn, but more miss than hit since and it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Claims off this reduced mark judged on bits and pieces of form, but recent evidence (pulled up last 2 starts, latterly in Worcester handicap won by Debden Bank) suggests that he's one to avoid.

Modest hurdles winner who twice went close over fences at Uttoxeter/Sedgefield last year. Quickly dropped down the weights following a trio of below par efforts, but opposable all the same.

Three-time handicap chase winner at up to 3m in 2017, but he hasn't looked the same horse since returning from a lengthy absence last summer.

Has slipped a fair way in the weights since his latest success at Ffos Las in June 2019, but it's likely that he'll find one or two too good once more. Engaged 4.05 Newton Abbot Monday.

Best effort for a while when ending losing run in good style at Ffos Las last month. Dropped away rather tamely off this 8 lb higher mark next time, though, and needs to bounce back.

Second in a Wincanton handicap hurdle in November and has shown ability in 3 starts over fences, albeit beaten over 23 lengths when fourth of 14 to stablemate Auld Sod at Ffos Las. Tongue strap added.

Largely respectable efforts since hitting the target at Chepstow in March. Pulled up in Worcester race won by Debden Bank last time, but type to bounce back quickly and now tried in blinkers.

Landed a gamble on yard debut at Wetherby last spring. Rather in-and-out since, but latest second to Auld Sod at Ffos Las was creditable and he's not without each-way hope.

Forecasts

Debden Bank (6/4), Krujers Girl (7/1), Arthur's Reuben (10/1), Auld Sod (11/1), The Dawn Man (12/1), Steel Wave (12/1), His Dream (12/1), West To Crossgales (14/1), Et Apres Thou (14/1), Between The Waters (16/1), Miami Present (40/1), Imperial Nemesis (40/1)

Verdict

DEBDEN BANK again jumped with aplomb when scoring in decisive fashion at Worcester and, with the promise of even better to come from him in this sphere, the 7-y-o is taken to complete the hat-trick. Arthur's Reuben misfired in that Worcester handicap, but he's usually reliable and may well bounce back and give a good account. However, The Dawn Man is marginally preferred for forecast purposes.

  1. DEBDEN BANK
  2. THE DAWN MAN (IRE)
  3. ARTHUR'S REUBEN
