Twice-raced gelding. 11/1, fifth of 9 in minor event at Thirsk (7f, good to firm) 18 days ago. That represented a backward step, but he's in good hands and may be worth another chance.

Fairly useful gelding. Creditable third of 8 in handicap at this C&D (good, 10/3) 9 days ago, needing stiffer test. Could do with going back up in trip, but leading claims nonetheless. Visor applied.

Twice-raced colt. 11/8, last of 12 in minor event at Doncaster (6f, soft) 49 days ago. Previously shaped well on debut at the same course and he's certainly not one to give up on.

Mukhadram colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including 5f winner Becker and winner up to 1m Lady Kheleyf. Yard can ready a newcomer and the market should point the way.

Promising individual. Second of 7 in maiden at Beverley (5f, good to firm, 11/4) 18 days ago. Remains open to improvement and should make a bold bid to go one better here.

Once-raced filly. Ninth of 10 in minor event (80/1) at Newmarket (8f, good) on debut 14 days ago. Down in trip and will need to leave that initial effort well behind if she's to play a leading role.

Twice-raced filly. Fifth of 8 in minor event at Kempton (6f, 10/1), unable to sustain effort. Off 9 months. First run for yard after leaving James Tate and she's open to improvement.

Once-raced filly. Seventh of 8 in minor event (10/1) at Wolverhampton (5.1f) on debut 25 days ago. Probably more of a long-term prospect.

MOTORIOUS took a step forward when going close over 5f at Beverley last time and, with this step back up in trip unlikely to pose a problem and further progress anticipated, he gets the nod. Ensyaaby is a much-respected main danger, for all that he shaped as though a stiffer test was needed when third over C&D recently, while Hello Zabeel also enters calculations.
