Waterlefe Getaway^b1⁵³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-8| J: D A Jacob| T: H Whittington| OR: 96

33/1

Stepped up on hurdles debut when fourth in 2m Uttoxeter maiden in October but beaten along way twice since, including Southwell handicap debut/return in May. First-time blinkers replace cheekpieces.

Form: 26548-6

Jessica Rabbit¹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Kielan Woods| T: D Killahena & G McPherson| OR: 88

4/1

Consistent sort who finally came good at Doncaster in February. Creditable placed efforts in defeat in recent months and likely to give another good account.

Form: 821-233

Espinator²²

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: K Brogan⁽⁵⁾| T: A Wintle| OR: 87

6/4

Has gradually got the hang of things, runner-up over C&D in April and third in a pair of big fields at Uttoxeter since. Another who ought to have a say.

Form: 0742-33

Blunder Buss^t1,v²⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 10-10| J: Alan Johns| T: Tim Vaughan| OR: 84

7/1

Sole hurdle win was gained back in March 2018. Did shape reasonably well when fifth on his Southwell return in May but he's disappointed at Ffos Las since.

Form: 3/647-58

Havacuppa^p²²

Age: 7| Weight: 10-8| J: G Sheehan| T: Mrs S Gardner| OR: 82

7/2

Held every chance when swerving and unseating approaching 2 out at Ffos Las in May. Better than result when fourth over 23f at Uttoxeter since, unable to sustain effort. Shorter trip now ideal.

Form: 71/D3-R4

Lady Wolf¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 10-3| J: David Noonan| T: Miss G Haywood| OR: 77

50/1

Modest Flat winner but beaten a long way all 5 starts over hurdles following 22-month absence, including on handicap debut last time.

Form: 0080-8

Witch From Rome⁹²

Age: 10| Weight: 10-0| J: Miss H C Tucker⁽⁷⁾| T: Simon Earle| OR: 74

66/1

Fair maiden hurdler back in 2015 but he has offered little in 4 runs for new yard this term after very long absence. Hard to warm to.

Form: 57/PP90-

Valentino^p1⁹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-0| J: James Best| T: Miss J Du Plessis| OR: 70

28/1

Big price and no impact in novice hurdles. Cheekpieces added for handicap debut after 99 days off. Could only consider if backed.

Form: 8U5-

Do Ya Feel Lucky²

Weight: 11-12| Age: 7

T: D Pipe J: Non Runner

Cut And Run²

Weight: 11-4| Age: 8

Forecasts

Espinator (6/4), Havacuppa (7/2), Jessica Rabbit (4/1), Do Ya Feel Lucky (11/2), Blunder Buss (7/1), Helford River (9/1), Cut And Run (14/1), Valentino (28/1), Waterlefe Getaway (33/1), Lady Wolf (50/1), Witch From Rome (66/1)

The suggestion in an open race is HAVACUPPA, who could find this slightly shorter trip ideal after going a bit too keenly for her own good in first-time headgear (retained) over 23f at Uttoxeter last time. Jessica Rabbit and Espinator have been knocking on the door in similar events and ought to be on the premises.
