Ballymoy^p1¹⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-8| J: D A Jacob| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 143

11/8

Smart hurdler in 2018/19. Useful form in this sphere, rattling off the hat-trick in a Perth novice (23.8f) in May. Hard to knock his subsequent Newton Abbot second and expected to be in the mix again.

Premier D'troice^p¹⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: Benjamin Poste| T: Katy Price| OR: 135| D

7/1

Fairly useful hurdler who maintained 100% record over fences when collaring Ballymoy late on at Newton Abbot recently, helped by the way the race developed. 4 lb worse off with that rival now.

Form: 2PP11-1

Babytaggle²⁹

Age: 10| Weight: 10-12| J: Shane Quinlan⁽⁵⁾| T: F Brennan| OR: 74

200/1

Long-standing maiden who has failed to complete on each of his last 2 starts in hunter events and he's very hard to make a case for.

Form: 6/F05PF

Rhythm Is A Dancer^p²⁹⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 10-12| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 127

5/2

Useful hurdler who added to his tally when making all at Southwell (3m) last summer. Some promise sole previous chase try back in 2019 and likely he can do better again in this sphere on return.

Form: P2/3144-

The Bull Mccabe³⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 10-12| J: C Gethings| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls| OR: 128| C

3/1

Winning Irish pointer who has shown the odd bit of temperament but did win twice over hurdles here last term. Didn't convince with his attitude when last of 3 on Uttoxeter chase bow in May, however.

Form: 21421-3

Forecasts

Ballymoy (11/8), Rhythm Is A Dancer (5/2), The Bull Mccabe (3/1), Ruthless Article (4/1), Premier D'troice (7/1), Babytaggle (200/1)

A competitive-looking opener with the vote in favour of RUTHLESS ARTICLE. He capitalised on his much-reduced mark and looked a different proposition when accounting for an in-form sort at Aintree 18 days ago and there could be a little more to come from him in this sphere. Ballymoy and Rhythm Is A Dancer head up the dangers.
