Courtandbould⁴⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 10-12| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| D

4/6

Useful three-time hurdle winner in the first half of last season. Off 6 months, shaped as if needing the run in Aintree handicap hurdle on return. Should be spot on now switching to fences.

Form: 12125-8

Earth Spirit^t1¹⁵

Age: 8| Weight: 10-12| J: Mr G Barfoot-Saunt| T: Mrs Tracey Barfoot-Saunt

100/1

Well held in a bumper and 2 novice hurdles under Rules. Little better in points in more recent times and will surely struggle to live with these useful rivals. Tongue tied first time.

Form: 9P5/0FP

Forecasts

Courtandbould (4/6), Mick Pastor (5/4), Earth Spirit (100/1)

COURTANDBOULD, who should be all the sharper for a spin over hurdles last month, was runner-up twice in the pointing field at the start of his career and may be capable of taking advantage of the weight he receives from previous chase winner Mick Pastor in what effectively looks a match race.
