Ex-Irish winning chaser for Denis Hogan. Showed he retains his ability for this yard last autumn but probably still best watched returned to hurdles after 6 months off (has had wind surgery).
Came good at the fourth time of asking over hurdles when making all in maiden at Southwell (20.5f, soft) last month. From top yard and could easily have more to come in handicaps.
2m course winner. Creditable second of 5 in handicap hurdle at Fontwell (3¼m, good to firm, 5/6) 18 days ago. Back down in trip. Respected.
One-time smart performer but tumbled in the weights over both sets of obstacles without cashing in. Was caught too far back when fourth over C&D on recent return from a break, though.
A bit frustrating over fences for Alan King in recent times and possibly best watched back hurdling for new connections.
Found improvement when second of 14 in handicap hurdle (22/1) at Wincanton (25f, soft) in March and ran respectably after 10 weeks off when third at Warwick last month. Each-way claims.
Landed back-to-back handicaps over 2m at Southwell this spring. Another good effort when narrowly denied there last time and big player if as effective over this longer trip (bred to stay).
Disappointing over both sets of obstacles since a positive reappearance last season, failing to build on a couple of slightly better efforts when pulled up in a chase at Huntingdon last month.
In decent form since returning from an absence this spring, finishing fourth over this trip at Worcester last month. Another who can't be discounted.
Landed back-to-back handicap hurdles over this sort of trip in November. Didn't take to fences on his reappearance but should fare better back over the smaller obstacles.
Useful at best on Flat for Ed Walker. Yet to get close to that level over hurdles but he didn't fare too badly when fourth over 2m at Ffos Las on his recent return from an absence. Back up in trip.
Sole win did come over C&D but that was in 2019 and he's seldom threatened since. Well held on Worcester chase debut last month. Others more obvious.
Winless following 11 attempts in this sphere, often looking a tricky customer. Completely disgraced himself when pulling himself up at Perth last time and can't be trusted.
Scored over fences in summer 2019 and finally back to winning ways in Huntingdon handicap hurdle around this trip last month, doing well to come from the rear in a steadily-run race. Respected.

BEGIN THE LUCK has done very well around 2m of late but is certainly bred for further and is selected to continue the good work now stepping up in trip. Bagan will pose a threat if in the same form as when winning at Huntingdon last month. Hunting Percival is also respected, while Rapid Flight could have more to come in handicaps for his top stable.
