Mashkoorah²⁴⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Andrea Atzeni| T: R Varian| OR: 76

Cosily landed 7f Newcastle novice but only fair fifth under a penalty there last October. Returns from 8 months off now for his handicap bow and remains with plenty of potential now up in trip.

Yorkshire Lady³⁴

13/8

Progressive form in handicaps, readily scoring at Ripon (1m) in May, but poorly drawn when seventh in 1m York handicap 34 days ago. Sort to bounce back, and she remains on a good mark.

Form: 471-217

Amy Beach¹⁷

4/1

Opened her account in good style at Salisbury (1m2f) in May but she beat only one on her handicap bow in 5-runner race there 17 days ago. Worth another chance.

Form: 5214

Brunnera^h1²³³

Fair form shown thus far, not disgraced off a stiff mark when seventh of 8 in nursery at Nottingham (8.3f, soft) in November. Hooded for return and others are better treated.

Forecasts

Yorkshire Lady (13/8), Brunnera (2/1), True Scarlet (3/1), Amy Beach (4/1), Glint Of An Eye (11/2), Mashkoorah (8/1), The Jean Genie (14/1)

YORKSHIRE LADY didn't enjoy the rub of the green when seventh at York last month but had been on the up prior to that and is well worth another chance to resume her progress off a handy-looking mark. Roger Varian's Mashkoorah has an absence to overcome but appeals as the sort to do well in handicaps this term so rates a big threat. Glint of An Eye isn't taken lightly either in her hat-trick bid.
