5/2

Pearl Secret gelding who built on opening pair of runners-up efforts when getting off the mark at Kempton (7f) in May, ridden positively in first-time blinkers. Can go well again now handicapping.

Melody Of Life¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 10-4| J: Hayley Turner| T: A M Balding| OR: 77

6/5

(1)

London Palladium^v²⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 10-4| J: Megan Nicholls| T: H Palmer| OR: 77

17/2

Dual winner as a 2-y-o who performed respectably on AW at the end of 2020. However, unable to make an impact either start so far this term and visor replaces blinkers now.

Form: 1743-97

(5)

Falcon Brook^v1²⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-12| J: Poppy Fielding⁽⁷⁾| T: Tom Dascombe| OR: 71

33/1

Wolverhampton scorer in October who proved consistent rather than progressive in AW handicaps thereafter. Well held on back of being gelded at Haydock in May and this should reveal more. Visored.

Form: 17-3449

(2)

Point Louise¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Joanna Mason⁽³⁾| T: H J L Dunlop| OR: 60

10/1

Free Eagle filly who has yet to better modest form to date, not backing up her Lingfield run in April when eighth in 13-runner Newbury handicap 15 days ago. Others arrive with more pressing claims.

Form: 402-058

Forecasts

Melody Of Life (6/5), Super Over (5/2), Trumble (5/1), London Palladium (17/2), Point Louise (10/1), Falcon Brook (33/1)

Runner-up on each of his first 2 starts, SUPER OVER stepped up for being gelded/application of blinkers when making all in a fair time at Kempton in May and he could be difficult to peg back if employing those tactics again under Hollie Doyle once more. Melody of Life represents the chief threat, ahead of Trumble.
