Opened hurdles account at Market Rasen last summer. Fair to say that she hasn't built on that in 4 subsequent starts, but she's certainly not one to write off just yet. Cheekpieces applied.

Low-key start in bumper/novice hurdle but much improved when second in maiden at Warwick in April. Disappointed given that promise at Fontwell 5 weeks ago but too early to write off on handicap debut.

Temperamental sort. Has performed respectably on his last 3 starts but hard to place much faith him for win purposes.

Infrequent winner but looked in his best nick for ages when winning 12-runner handicap hurdle at this C&D (good) a fortnight ago. 8 lb rise demands more but he's capable of winning again.

Bumper winner in 2017 and bettered previous form in this sphere when third in a 6-runner handicap (15.8f) here last month. Unable to take a step forward a fortnight ago so others make more appeal.

Forecasts

Clearly Capable (8/11), Beau Haze (11/4), Baron Nelson (4/1), Gavrocheka (5/1), Faint Hope (11/2), Clondaw Promise (6/1), Aliandy (10/1), First Destination (12/1)

Verdict

Veteran CLEARLY CAPABLE looked in his best nick for some time when scoring second time up for Daniel Bourne over C&D a fortnight ago. An 8 lb rise demands more, but he looks capable of winning again and is taken to follow up. Beau Haze is sure to be popular in his hat-trick bid but may have to settle for silver, while hopes are pinned on first-time cheekpieces sparking Gavrocheka back to form.

  1. CLEARLY CAPABLE (IRE)
  2. BEAU HAZE
  3. GAVROCHEKA (FR)
