Twice-raced maiden. 250/1, third of 7 in minor event at Hamilton (6f, good to firm) 11 days ago. That represented a significant step forward compared to debut display, but needs more again.

Forecasts

Verreaux Eagle (4/7), Masquerading (10/3), Mecca's Diamond (5/1), Earn Your Stripes (16/1), Sheila's Legacy (50/1), Little Miss Sassy (80/1), Fairyworld (80/1)

Verdict

Bryan Smart can ready one first time out and his representative MASQUERADING, who fetched £90,000 as a yearling, looks a likely type on paper. Verreaux Eagle is the clear pick of those with experience and sets a decent standard, but it's not an insurmountable one by any means, should Masquerading or Mecca's Diamond turn out to be half-decent.

  1. MASQUERADING
  2. VERREAUX EAGLE (IRE)
  3. MECCA'S DIAMOND (IRE)
